Aitah’s Foundation launches a Radio Quiz Competition for Primary and Junior Secondary School Students.

As a way to expand our impact in education, the team at Aitah’s Foundation has extended its AGR quiz competition program to lower classes for primary and junior secondary schools.

For over 2 years, Aitah’s Foundation through its subsidiary  Aitah’s Golden Arrow Quiz Competition has focused on the SS2 students who have been the major beneficiaries of its competition. In 2024, the foundation decided to embrace inclusion of other early classes in the education sector in Nigeria to give them an equal opportunity to be part of its program.

Joshua Osaretin, a member of Aitah’s Foundation explained further in a chat ” Instead of having an annual quiz competition every year for SS2, we are infusing a radio quiz competition initiative  in our program to accommodate other classes that will give them the opportunity to win prizes that will meet their educational needs.

The decision to use the radio as a means of executing this event is that it is easily accessible, it covers a wide range of audience and age groups and is the most effective form of mass media. This serves as an opportunity for parents to be involved by preparing their wards to participate in the competition. Aitah’s Foundation is partnering with designated radio stations in Benin City who have education programs for students to call in and answer questions within their class category. We designed this in a way that winners will be announced immediately and everyday the shows air on these stations. The idea is to promote transparency, fair play and award excellence in all ramifications. Winners of this offline competition will go home with cash prizes and gifts that will facilitate their learning in school.
